How to Use Your Breath?

Today, I am sharing my own experience regarding basic knowledge of breathing. I always try to write short, but i have so much to write on breathing, let me try to put my experience in minimum possible words.

Basic Breathing Rules-

Human brain has many functions and one of them is to follow the breath. If you can breathe anywhere from 1 to 4 times per min, you will experience, what is called a meditative state. Breathing is not about holding the breath in or out, it is about breathing long and deep. Do this by breathing very slowly, using full capacity of your lungs and then exhale completely.

THE BEST WAY TO BREATHE properly is to build up little by little. The lungs capacity starts to expand, and as a consequence your mind becomes calmer, more balanced, and you will be able to concentrate fully and make better decisions.

TO BE SURE YOU BREATHE CORRECTLY, you must divide the breath into three parts-

WHEN INHALING – First fill-up the lower abdomen with air, then the middle abdomen, and lastly the chest

WHEN EXHALINGthe air in the chest goes out 1st, then the air in the middle abdomen, and then lastly the air in the lower abdomen.

The Magic of Breathing:

The magic of breathing starts when you master exhaling. It seems that during the inhalation; our mind is calmer, and one can hold the breath longer without experiencing any discomfort. During EXHALATION, there is a natural urge to inhale immediately after exhalation.

WHEN THIS NATURAL TENDENCY COMES DOWN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO REACH A HIGHER LEVEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS.

Om Namah Shivay!!!
